How do I reset my HeliosPad?⌄
For a basic recovery, power off the DC 12–24V supply, wait a few seconds, and power the unit on again. Do not remove terminals while the system is powered. For a full reset, open Settings > System > Reset / Restore Factory Settings, confirm the action, then run the first-time setup again: language, time, inverter model, communication method, device discovery, and tariff settings. A reset only affects the HeliosPad local configuration; it does not change inverter, battery, or meter settings.
Can I use HeliosLink with non-supported inverters?⌄
Only when the inverter supports RS485 / Modbus communication and Helar has the correct protocol mapping for that brand and model. A non-supported inverter may be physically connected, but the dashboard can show missing or incorrect data if the communication protocol or data map is not matched. For a new inverter model, send us the inverter brand, model, communication port information, and Modbus register map for compatibility review.
What happens if the local buffer is full?⌄
HeliosPad is designed for local-first monitoring, so live display and device communication continue locally. If the local history buffer reaches its limit during a long offline period, the system prioritizes the latest records. Older unsynced history may be overwritten or compressed depending on firmware configuration. To avoid data loss, export or sync historical records during maintenance before extended offline operation.
Is cloud connection required for updates?⌄
No permanent cloud connection is required for normal local monitoring. Firmware or software updates can be handled through an approved local update package or service procedure. If a remote update channel is enabled, internet access may only be needed temporarily during the update process. After the update, HeliosPad can continue operating as a local display.
